Why Checks Usually Fail
Most failed identity checks come down to image quality or a mismatch — not a real problem with your identity. The common culprits:
- A blurry, cropped, or glare-covered photo of your ID.
- An expired or unsupported document.
- Details that don't match what you entered (name, date of birth).
- Poor lighting on the selfie step.

- Use a well-lit room and a dark, flat background.
- Lay your ID flat and capture the whole document with no glare.
- Make sure your typed name and date of birth exactly match your ID.
- Restart the check and follow the prompts from Persona.
Your verification is a one-time step. Once you pass, it carries forward — you won't need to repeat it for future loans.
