Monitoring Your Loan Health & Avoiding a Margin Call

Your Health Gauge

Your dashboard shows a live health gauge — your current LTV, a color-coded status, and how far you are from both the notification and liquidation thresholds. Check it regularly, especially in volatile markets.

When your collateral value falls, the gauge climbs and turns amber — your cue to act. Figures shown are illustrative.

Get Alerted Early

Bitlendex monitors your LTV 24/7 and emails you a margin-call alert when you cross your notification threshold (60% by default). You can lower that threshold in settings to get warned sooner.

Give yourself a head start

Set your notification threshold below the default — say 50% — so you hear about rising risk well before it becomes urgent.

Two Levers to Lower Your LTV

  1. Add collateral — deposit more Bitcoin to raise your collateral value.
  2. Repay part of your balance — pay down USDC to shrink what you owe.

Either action lowers your LTV immediately. The most reliable way to avoid a margin call, though, is to borrow conservatively in the first place — many borrowers stay near 40% LTV.
